We are moving forward to resume corporate worship at the church on June 21 at 11:00 a.m with service being posted online for those who desire to worship at home.
Per Governor Northam's Executive Order, Phase Two occupancy guideline is 50% for churches.
Below are the safety measures that will be in place to resume gathering for worship:
Sanctuary doors numbered 2, 3, and 4 will be the only entrances open. Please refrain from entering/exiting the building through other doors as all areas accessed will need to be cleaned/ sanitized.
Hand sanitizing stations will be located around the entrance/exit and restroom doors.
Masks are required by the Executive Order. We will have extra masks on hand.
All "touch" objects in the Sanctuary and Foyer (including, but not limited to, hymnals, pens, offering envelopes, tissue boxes, offering plates, etc.) will be removed. Bulletins will not be available.
Volunteers will serve as "no touch" ushers/greeters. These persons will ensure traffic flow, compliance with safety measures, and prevent access to closed areas.
We will not be setting up a traffic pattern as everyone will be entering and exiting together. We will designate and mark certain doors for entry and others for exit. Exterior doors will be left open, as will the first set of doors leading into the restroom areas at the front and back of the Sanctuary.
We encourage no lingering in the foyer and ask that folks find a seat and prepare for worship.
n the Sanctuary, designated seating areas will be at 6-foot intervals. One seating area per family group. Every other row will be taped off.
Collection plates/boxes for offering will be placed at appropriate locations (entrances/ exits).
Sunday school and child-care (nursery) will not be offered at this time.
Wednesday evening worship continues to be cancelled; however, we will review this matter in the future.
The church office will remain closed.
The Transition Team will resume meeting on Sunday, June 21.
Vacation Bible School & Youth Camp for this year has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
